PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for controlling the power supply of an image-forming device for effectively utilizing a specific rated power by optimizing the timing for charging a rechargeable battery. SOLUTION: When no nighttime charge mode is set, the user set time with a ten-key pad for charging time, for example 20 o'clock to starting and 8 o'clock to stop. When it is judged that current time is within a charging time range by a timer IC 210, a rechargeable battery 1200 is charged by turning on a switch 1201. On the other hand, when the charge time is not within the range, the switch 1201 is turned off, thus breaking input power supply to the rechargeable battery 1200. |
