PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and effectively remove unnecessary heat from a diode array and a laser medium by providing at least one diode array generating heat energy absorbed by means of a solid laser medium, and connecting a heat sink with which a phase transition material is brought into contact the diode array. SOLUTION: A laser medium 58 is arranged between diode arrays 62 and a heat sink assembly 60. In an operation that the diode array 62 discharges energy with a first wavelength, a laser medium 58 absorbs it, it is converted into energy with a second wavelength and a laser beam is generated. For improving the heat efficiency of a whole system, the diode arrays 62 are soldered to a heat sink 64. A phase transition material is brought into contact with a plurality of faces extending from the base plane of the heat sink 64. Thus, heat generated by the diode array 62 moves to the heat sink 64 and it is eventually absorbed by the phase transition material. |
