PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a fail-safe function which can prevent a camera itself or its peripheral device from being broken or incurring troubles such as wasteful power consumption if a fault occurs to transmission or reception of commands in a monitor system which adopts a camera control system, especially a command response system. SOLUTION: This monitor system which adopts a CCTV(closed-circuit television) system is provided with a function of forcibly (automatically) ending a command, if a timer is actuated at reception of the command and an end command is not received at the elapse of a specified time, when the command response system is employed as a control system of the TV camera 1. Consequently, even if abnormalities are generated in the line of the system, camera control is ended automatically finished after a specific time elapse.
