PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly heat sheet material by effectively utilizing the heat generated from a heating means. SOLUTION: Photosensitive material 16 and image receiving paper 40 are stuck to each other and wound around the winding ring 48 of a heat developing part. The ring 48 is constituted by a fixed ring 48A and a movable ring 48B, and the ring 48B is moved according to the width dimension of the material 16 and the paper 40, and only the both ends of the material 16 and the paper 40 in a width direction are wound around the rings 48A and 48B, so that the material 16 and the upper 40 are curved in nearly circular arc shape. Thereafter, the material 16 and the paper 40 are directly heated by the heat generated from the heater 50, whereby then are processed to be heat-developed.
