<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for compensating the temperature of a single unit of ODU(outdoor unit) by storing the gain fluctuation information in a ROM included in the ODU with respect to the ODU temperature or frequency, controlling a voltage variable attenuator included in an IDU(indoor unit) based on the information stored in the ROM and accordingly controlling the general gain at the almost constant value or optional value. SOLUTION: The temperature of an ODU 5 and the gain data defined to a channel are stored in a ROM 2, and a CPU 1a of the ODU 5 performs calculation of the data interpolation, etc. At the same time, the said temperature and gain data are transmitted to a CPU 1b of an IDU 4. Based on the gain information, the CPU 1b varies a voltage variable attenuator 3 to secure the desired numeric value for the general gain. As a result, the temperature is compensated in a TX-IF frequency band of the IDU 4 and accordingly an inexpensive satellite communication system is obtained.</p> |
