MANUFACTURE OF HIGH CARBON CHROME STEEL WIRE AND MECHANICAL STRUCTURE PARTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a high carbon chrome steel wire having a spheroidized structure and hardness equal to a case of conventional spheroidizing annealing for two times only through spheroidized annealing at one time and a mechanical structure parts excellent in wear resistance and fatigue characteristic resistance such as a bearing and various kinds of shafts. SOLUTION: (1) A hot rolled wire containing >=0.7% C and >=0.5% Cr is subjected to drawing with >=30% reduction rate of area at <=Ac1 temperature of transformation point and then to finish working after spheroidizing annealing. (2) A mechanical structure parts contain a stock of a wire containing >=0.7% C and >=0.5% Cr and are manufactured by a method mentioned in (1).
