PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source socket device that facilitates mounting it to a mounting housing while maintaining its waterproofing and vibration- proofing properties. SOLUTION: A pair of conductive terminals 9 are stored in a bottomed hollow socket body 4 oppositely to each other. Catching pieces 11 are formed in the conductive terminals 9 by bending them generally at a right angle, and electric cords 13 are connected to the conductive terminals and extracted from a pair of holes. A flange part 6 having a diameter larger than the outside diameter of a cylindrical part 5 is formed around the cylindrical part 5 on the bottom side of the socket body 4, two lock parts 18 are formed around the cylindrical part 5 nearly in the middle of the socket body 4, and two lock parts 18A are also formed in the direction perpendicular to base parts 10. Then, a wedge base lamp 1 is so inserted that a sealing part 3 of the lamp 1 is caught by the catching pieces 11, and the lock parts 18, 18A are inserted into and locked to a socket seating formed in a mounting housing. The circumferential widths of the lock parts 18 are set smaller than those of the lock part 18A formed in the direction perpendicular to base parts.
