PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing weight detachably fixable at a desired position on a fishing line without causing the deformation and damage of the line and enabling the accurate setting of the length of a fishing tackle and provide a fishing rod provided with the weight. SOLUTION: The objective weight 16 for fishing is provided with a main body 22 and a clipping part 24 formed on the top of the main body and capable of clipping a fishing line 14 in bent state. The main body and the clipping part are made of a material softer than the fishing line and the coefficient of static friction of the clipping part is larger than that of the fishing line.
