METHOD FOR FORMING ELECTRODE WIRES FOR PREVENTING A SHORT

PURPOSE: An electrode wiring method for preventing a short is provided to simplify fabrication processes by removing the short part without additional laser repairing process in an LCD(liquid crystal display). CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: forming a gate oxide(6) on a substrate(100) having a gate electrode wire(1), a storage electrode(3) and a short portion(5); etching the gate oxide(6) to expose the short portion(5); defining a thin film region by forming a channel layer(7) and an ohmic contact layer(8); sequentially forming a pixel electrode(9), a source electrode(10a) and a drain electrode(10b); forming a passivation layer(11) on the source and drain electrode; selective etching the passivation layer(11) to expose the short portion(5); and removing the exposed short portion(5) using the passivation pattern as a mask.
