PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyethylene resin capable of forming a thin film good in winding and arranging, etc., when wound into a roll and having a uniform film thickness by uniformly mixing plural kinds of polyethylene having different physical properties in a specific compounding proportion. SOLUTION: This resin comprises a composition produced by uniformly mixing (A) a polyethylene having 50-1,000 (g/10 min) melt flow rate(MFR2) measured at 190 deg.C under 2.16 kg load, 4-12 molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) and 0.930-0.980 (g/cm3) density (preferably an ethylene homopolymer) with (B) a polyethylene having 0.0001-0.0030 (g/10 min) MFR2, 4-12 Mw/Mn and 0.925-0.973 (g/cm3) density (preferably a copolymer of ethylene and anα-olefin such as 1-butene, 1-hexene or 1-octene) in the compounding ratio thereof within the range of (40:60) to (60:40) (wt.%). The resin is suitable for producing a film.
