PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time after feeding a money amount until receiving change by an advance subtraction refund processing and to execute a deferred subtraction refund processing so as not to miss a sales chance in the case that the execution of the advance subtraction refund processing becomes impossible. SOLUTION: The propriety of charge return for the prices of a product selected by a push button is judged (step #7). In the case that the charge return is possible, since the advance subtraction refund processing of (stepξ8)-(stepξ12) is executed, the change is returned simultaneously with the pay-out of a commodity and thus, the time after feeding the money amount until receiving the change is shortened. Also, in the case that the charge return for the prices of the product is impossible in the (stepξ7), since the deferred subtraction refund processing of (stepξ13)-(stepξ16) is executed, the sales chance is prevented from being missed.
