PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroponic culture apparatus effective for improving the water quality of an aquarium for ornamental fish, enabling sure growth of plant by hydroponic culture and enabling the appreciation of fish and the culture and appreciation of plant at the same time in contrast with the fixed concept on an aquarium for ornamental fish. SOLUTION: This hydroponic culture apparatus is composed of a porous vessel 11 lined with a redox enzyme sheet 12 and holding culture soil 13 containing a layer of a porous mineral 14. The culture apparatus is placed above the filtering material of an upper filter of an aquarium for ornamental fish, the water of the aquarium filtered with the upper filter is used as the water source for the hydroponic culture and the water quality is improved by the hydroponic culture apparatus to improve the quality of water in the aquarium and ensure the growth of plant by hydroponic culture. |
