The filter has a low level drainage until a set level is reached, when drainage is increased. For this purpose, a first drain outlet (15) is located below the set level, and a second drain outlet (16b) is located above it. The second outlet is arranged for at least five times, pref. ten times the drainage volume of the first outlet, which has a drain volume of approx. 0,1l/sec. The first outlet is generally open at all times, and at least one, or both outlets together, are throttled (18a,b) and/or closed (17). Both outlets are located in a shaft, and are connected to a drainage system.
