PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device for fruits and vegetables for extremely accurately measuring the thickness long fruits and vegetables. SOLUTION: In a measuring device for fruits and vegetables with a CCD camera for outputting image pick-up information for measurement by picking up the image of fruits and vegetables and an image-processing means for measuring the thickness of fruits and vegetables by processing the image of the image pick-up information of the CCD camera, the image-processing means is so configured that it obtains a contour 49 of the image of fruits and vegetables K and at the same time determines one point on the contour at a thickness measurement target point as a prescribed point a5 , obtains an opposing point b5 where the distance from the prescribed point a5 to a contour that opposes the direction of width of the fruits and vegetables K is minimized, and measures the thickness of the fruits and vegetables based on distance to the prescribed point a5 and the opposing point b5 . |
