FIELD: artificial diamonds. SUBSTANCE: in a method, in which graphite-fullerene-catalyst mixture is subjected to pressure and temperature in the diamond stability range, followed by ageing under synthesis conditions, novelty consists in using fullerene concentrations from 0.01 to 0.6% based on graphite weight and distribution of fullerene in graphite bulk. Fullerene can be added in the form of fullerene black or fullerene extract. Yield of diamonds is thereby increased at pressures not exceeding 5.5 GPa.
