Aqueous preparations used as label adhesives for sticking water-permeable hydrophilic substrates to hard surfaces contain 1-70 wt% of a copolymer of acid group-containing monomers and hydrophobic monomers, possibly with additives to improve wet adhesion and/or adjust the open time and possibly with preservatives, foam suppressants, coloring agents and/or other normal additives.
