PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form a thin developer layer on a developer carrier, even if it is constituted so that a developer regulating member whose durability is excellent and hardness is comparatively high is abutted on the developer carrier by making the part on which the developer regulating member is abutted, of the developer carrier made of an elastic body having nonforming structure. SOLUTION: This developing device consists of a casing 1 used also as a container for housing toner as a one-component developer, a developing roller 2 as the developer carrier which is disposed so that a part of it is exposed from the opening of the casing 1, a regulating blade 3 as the developer regulating member abutted on the surface of the developing roller 2, a supplying roller 4 as a developer supplying member for supplying the toner to the developing roller 2, an agitator 5 as a developer stirring member for supplying the toner to the supplying roller 4, while stirring the toner in the casing 1, etc. The surface part on which the regulating blade 3 is abutted, of the developing roller 2 is made of a rubber material such as the elastic body having the nonfoaming structure. As the rubber material, silicone, butadiene, etc., are mentioned. |
