PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce ceramic composite particles which have a structure contg. uniformly dispersed fine ceramic particles, which have satisfactory compactibility, and which are suitable for use in the production of a high density and high strength compact. SOLUTION: The ceramic composite particles have a fine particle phase 1 of at least one ceramic having 1 nm to 1 μm particle diameter bonded through a binder phase 2 formed by the reaction of the ceramic with a sintering aid and have 0.1-120 μm average particle diameter. The ceramic composite particles are produced by forming a uniform mixture of ceramic powder for the fine particle phase and a powdery sintering aid and heat-treating the mixture until the binder phase formed from the reaction of ceramic powder and powdery sintered aid in the temp. range of 1,200-1,500 deg.C appears. |
