PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compsn. which is excellent in sticking and adhesion to ceramic materials by using a polymerizable (meth)acrylic monomer, an org. peroxide, a vanadium compd., and anα-hydroxycarbonyl compd. as the essential ingredients. SOLUTION: A pref. polymerizable (meth)acrylic monomer has at least two (meth)acrylic groups and contains 10-90 wt.% polyfunctional (meth)acrylate monomer having a mol.wt. of 400-4,000. Anα-hydroxycarboxylic acid (ester) is pref. as theα-hydroxycarbonyl compd. The compsn. is pref. used in a two-part liq. system: one part contg. the monomer, the peroxide, and theα- hydroxycarbonyl compd. and the other contg. the monomer and the vanadium compd. The compsn. is esp. suitable to be applied to cement-based materials.
