<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an electrode with a low voltage and a low power consumption and to provide a liquid crystal display device of good image quality by locating the confronting electrode on both side of adjacent pixels and specifying the width of the confronting electrode. SOLUTION: When the width of the electrode of a video signal line DL is determined by the productivity of yield, the width of the electrode of a confronting electrode CT adjacent to the video signal line DL is made to be larger than a half of the width of electrode of the signal line DL. This serves to absorb an electric flux line by the confronting electrodes on both sides and an electrode having the width wider than the same width is necessary for absorbing the electric flux line generated from a certain width of electrode. Consequently, since the electric flux line generated from a half of the electrode of the signal line DL is absorbed enough by the confronting electrode Ct on both sides, the width of the confronting electrode Ct adjacent to the signal line DL is made larger than a half. Consequently, cross talk affected by the influence of the video signal is prevented.</p> |
