PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an active energy ray curing aqueous polyurethane composition for coating with a coating material or an ink excellent in adhesion, chemical resistance, surface hardness and thermal yellowing resistance. SOLUTION: This active energy ray curing aqueous polyurethane composition comprises an aqueous polyurethane compound having groups having an active energy ray curing unsaturated double bond and groups of salts in the molecule and contains methacryloyl groups as the groups having the double bond and the sum of the groups having the double bonds is 1.5-4.5 equiv./kg. The molar ratio of the methacryloyl groups to the acryloyl groups in the polyurethane composition is within the range of (100/0) to (30/100).
