PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of interference of the mounting bolt and nut of a silencer with the rebound stopper of a spring bracket, in a tandem suspension using a progressive taper relief spring assembly formed such that a main leaf spring consisting of a taper leaf spring and a helper leaf spring are stacked up and a the silencers are attached to the front and the rear end parts of the helper leaf spring. SOLUTION: In a tandem suspension, a progressive taper leaf spring consists of main leaf springs 21-23 and a helper leaf spring 24. The under surfaces of the front and rear end parts of the main leaf springas 21-23 are brought into contact with a main leaf spring seat 61, and the front and rear end parts of the helper leaf spring 24 is positioned above a helper spring seat 26 of the upper end of a spring bracket 58 through a silencer 17. |
