PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the output accuracy of a power pack, without any cost for the power pack by measuring the output of a high-voltage power source with an image carrier, in a state where the substrate of the image carrier is switched and connected to the high-voltage power source and adjusting or correcting its output with the result of the measurement. SOLUTION: A reference potential is applied to the substrate of a photoreceptor drum 13 as the image carrier from a fixed reference potential (ground potential) point. A developing device is provided with the high-voltage power source for applying a high voltage. In the state where the substrate of the image carrier 13 is switched from a reference potential point to the high-voltage power source, to be connected, by a relay circuit 78 as a reference potential switching means, the output of the high-voltage power source is measured via the image carrier 13 by a potential sensor 22 as a surface potential measuring means. A control part 60 adjusts or corrects the output of the high- voltage power source with the result of the measurement. |
