Gas purification and drying unit employing continuous absorption, for treating e.g. high quality compressed air supply

This novel equipment purifies a gas, by continuous adsorption. It especially dries or purifies air. It includes a pair of vessels (1, 2). These have a common inlet (3), branching from a first change-over valve (4). A second change-over valve (5) controls branches to the gas outlet (6). Both vessels are connected near the outlet (6), by a bypass line (7). Each can be individually shut off from auxiliary outlets (11) near the inlet line. A prefilter (12) is provided in the gas inlet and/or an after-filter in the outlet. A new feature is that the gas inlet, gas outlet and auxiliary outlet are combined into a common functional block (16), this contains the line valving, the first (4) and second (5) change-over valves and if appropriate further components.
