<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting an image in a plate making process capable of precisely inspecting the image in a short time and at a low cost. SOLUTION: Digital image data obtained by reading first proof printing PS1 by means of a scanner are compared with digital data PD2 for a printing plate of second proof obtained by correction based on the first proof. That is, comparation inspection of not the image data obtained by reading the image recording medium such as the printing plate for the second proof and the printing for the second proof by means of the scanner but of the digital data PD2 for the printing plate for the second proof before output an object, is conducted. The image inspection can be performed more precisely than comparing inspection using only the image data having the possibility of the occurrence of dust and error in the case the image data is read by the scanner, and also the cost and the time for producing an image recording medium can be reduced.</p> |
