The drum (11) is mounted on a horizontal axis behind a panel (2) with part of its surface presenting, through a rectangular window (3), one of several rows (13) of e.g. push-button controls (12), each associated with a particular ancillary - e.g., heater, radio, etc. - distributed round the drum. The window frame also contains a stepping control button (17), operating a drive motor geared to the drum, so bringing push-button arrays associated with other ancillaries one at a time into the window. Optionally, each array is summoned by its own button. A screen (23) displays information relevant to the selected equipment. The necessary wiring is routed through the centre of the hollow drum.
