PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing oil compsn. which decreases the coefficient of friction in a bearing, esp. a sintered alloy bearing, and is suitable as an oilless-bearing oil compsn. improved in abrasion resistance, high-temp. stability, and compatibility with a bearing material. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding a synthetic base oil contg. a polyolefin as the main ingredient with an ester obtd. from an alcohol and an estolide which is a hydroxylated fatty acid oligomer, being at least a dimer, formed by the condensation between hydroxylated fatty acids or between a hydroxylated fatty acid and a fatty acid having no OH group. Pref. the base oil contains 70wt.% or higher polyolefin. |
