The insert comprises a rotary shaft (4) which penetrates the lid (3) to seal it. The shaft is joined to an outer aroma cap (6) which is impermeable to water (13), turns on the axis (5) of the jug (1) and has one or more holes (16). Alternatively the shaft is joined to a rotary inner sieve fitment (11) with open parts (21). In the closed position (7) of the rotary knob (15), the aroma cap seals the open part of the sieve insert. In the other position the cover (10) of the sieve insert is turned over or under the aroma cap, connecting the sieve (9) with the liquid for brewing.
