One slide face of the plain bearing consists of a ceramic material. The stator has a bearing shaft (11) which at least in the region of the bearing is enclosed by a bearing sleeve (14) made of ceramic material and which is fitted onto the shaft. The generated surface of the bearing sleeve is provided with a number of axially spaced radial grooves. A ceramic bearing bush (6) is pressed or screwed into an axial through-bore in the rotor.
