<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a sufficient insulation distance between a socket for a dielectric strength test of a power cable and the power cable and carry out the dielectric strength test easily by a method wherein the dielectric strength test socket is provided on the rear of a container and a dielectric strength test bushing to which a test voltage is applied is detachably attached to the socket. SOLUTION: A dielectric strength test socket 24 is provided on the rear of a circuit breaker container 3. When the circuit breaker is in operation, an insulating cover 25 is attached to keep insulation. When a dielectric strength test is carried out, the insulating cover 25 is removed, a dielectric strength test bushing 26 is attached to the socket 24 and a required test voltage is applied to the bushing 26. At that time, the dielectric strength test bushing 26 is attached and the test voltage is applied without the treatment of gas in the circuit breaker container 3. With this constitution, a sufficient insulation distance between the dielectric strength test socket 24 and a power cable 6 can be maintained and, further, the dielectric strength test can be carried out easily in a short time.</p> |
