PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester blended yarn, with different shrinkage having excellent bulkiness, springiness, stiffness and soft feeling and excellent in false twist processability, appearance and quality by spinning a high shrinking component, etc., consisting of polyester copolymers, from a single spinneret under specific conditions. SOLUTION: A high shrinking component consisting of a polyester copolymer having an intrinsic viscosityηH of 0.650-0.690 and a low shrinking component consisting of a polyester having an intrinsic viscosityηL which satisfies the equationηL<=ηH-0.01 are spun from a single spinneret simultaneously at a spinning-taking out speed of 2500-4000m/min to obtain a differently shrinking polyester blended yarn, in which the differenceΔn of birefringences between the high shrinking yarn and the low shrinking yarn is 15-60×10<-3> . Further, it is preferable that the high shrinking yarn constitutes mainly the inner layer and the low shrinking yarn constitutes the outer layer.
