摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for producing an optically active N-benzyl-3- aminopyrrolidine good in both chemical and optical purities in good chemical yield by an optical resolution and a simple method for recovering a used resolving agent. SOLUTION: RS-N-Benzyl-3-aminopyrrolidine is optically resolved by using an optically active 10-camphorsulfonic acid as a resolving agent. A salt of the optically active N-benzyl-3-aminopyrrolidine with the optically active 10- camphorsulfonic acid obtained by the resolution is treated with an alkali in water and the resultant mixture is then separated into an aqueous layer and an organic layer. The separated aqueous layer is extracted with an organic solvent and a mineral acid is added thereto. The resultant aqueous layer is directly used or concentrated and an alcohol is added thereto to dissolve the optically active 10-camphorsulfonic acid therein. The optically active 10- camphorsulfonic acid is recovered from the obtained alcohol solution.
