PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap mounted on one electric terminal and sealed by itself to an electric terminal to be fitted to prevent corrosion by providing a base in a special structure, a tapered portion and a top. SOLUTION: A device 5 to protect a terminal against corrosion has a base provided with a side wall 12, the first end 13 and the second end 14 and deformed around the terminal to encircle the terminal, a tapered portion provided with a side wall 20, the first end 21 supported by the second end 14 of the base and the second end 22 and a top 30 supported by the second end 22 of the tapered portion to be separatable from the tapered portion. In this way, a volume formed to be open at the first end 13 of the base is constituted by the base, the tapered portion and the top. The device 5 is usually manufactured by using polyethylene, preferably anticorrosive reactive polymer.
