The corners of the cooking grid (4) are guided by the angles of the four L-section vertical frame members (5-8), when the grid is raised. Two top members (24,25) support a transverse windless tube (9), one of whose bearings (13) includes a stop-peg (14) providing several cooking levels. The grid is suspended over the hearth (3) on side wires (10,11) passing diametrically through the tube. The side wires raise the grid when the tube is rotated by an end-handle (9a). The rear legs (5e,7e) end in rollers (5d,7d). One front leg (8e) is adjustable in length (8b) for uneven ground. Retractable manoeuvring handles (20,21) are provided. The hearth-pan, withdrawable (3d) for ash disposal, has a mains- or battery-driven variable-speed fan (23) with a perforated bifurcated air delivery pipe (15) inside the hearth. |
