Marine seismic prospecting procedure using at least one pair of hydrophone/geophone detectors placed at the sea bed, with a sonar source at the surface of the water emitting an acoustic signal and the detectors at the sea bed record the hydrophone (H) and geophone (G) signals, using the following stages: a filtered signal is calculated as M = H delta - G sigma , where H delta = (H-HR)/2 and G sigma = (G + GR)/2, where HR and GR are the signals H and G respectively propagated after a return through the layer of water; and the above figures are treated to obtain information about the geology.
