PEN TYPE COORDINATE INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a moving distance with simple constitution since an error owing to an inclination is contained in the moving distance detected by twice integrating acceleration which an acceleration detection sensor detects. SOLUTION: Inclination detection means 3a and 3b having weights held by a pair of coil springs stored in a case with balance are provided by making the moving directions of the weights face two different directions orthogonal with a pen shaft 8. Photosensors for weight position detection 4a and 4b are provided along the inclination detection means 3a and 3b and they detect the positions of the weights. The inclination detection means 3a and 3b calculate the inclination angle and the inclination direction of a pen tip 9 based on the detected positions of the weights. A correction means corrects the moving distance and the moving direction on a writing face based on the inclination angle and the inclination direction of the pen tip 9.
