摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a transfer image capable of conducting stable transfer operation and having high printing approximation by specifying a relationship of separation strength or the like between the cushion layer of an image receiving sheet and an image receiving layer, or between the thermal transfer layer of a thermal transfer sheet and the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet in a laser beam nonirradiation area. SOLUTION: A transfer image with a high image quality can be obtained by making the relationship into F1>F2 and then controlling it to be a formula of F1-F3>0.3g/cm<2> , among relationships of a separation strength F1 between the cushion layer 22 of an image receiving sheet 20 and the image receiving layer 23, a separation strength F2 between the thermal transfer layer B of a thermal transfer sheet 10 and the image receiving sheet 20 in a laser beam nonirradiation area, and a separation strength F3 between the light-heat conversion layer 12 of the thermal transfer sheet 10 and the thermal transfer layer 14 in a laser beam irradiation area. Also, by irradiating laser beam L from the rear surface of the thermal transfer sheet 10, a part of the heat-separation layer contained in the light-heat conversion layer 12 is decomposed and vaporized in the laser beam irradiation area, so that a joint strength between the light-heat conversion layer 12 and the thermal transfer layer 14 is weakened with the consequence that the thermal transfer sheet 10 is caused to separate from the image receiving sheet 20.
