PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery electrode plate which can effectively prevent damage to the three-dimensional networked substrate caused by the force of the ultrasonic vibration. SOLUTION: Active material paste is prepared using aqueous solution of carboxymethyl cellulose as the binder, of which viscosity is 1500-9000cPs. The active material paste is filled into a foamed nickel substrate (three-dimensional networked substrate), and dried. In this manner, a pasty active material layer is formed of which packing density is 2.39-2.60g/cc in the coase portion (vicinity of the void part 3), and is 2.72-2.93g/cc in the dense portion. The active material is removed from a predetermined place in the foamed nickel substrate by the force of the ultrasonic vibration, and the terminal is welded to the predetermined place. |
