The use of polycarbonate in polyalkylene terephthalate moulding compsns. for laser inscription of dark characters on a light background is claimed. The moulding compsn. may also contain 0-1 pt. wt. optical brightener, 0-5 pts. wt. pigment, 0-50 pts. wt. reinforcement, 0-60 pts. wt. flame retardant and 0-30 pts. wt. elastomer modifier.
