The upper shaft part (1) and the lower shaft part (2) are connected by means of an intermediate piece (3) made of bio-resorbable material. This intermediate piece represents the sole mechanical connection between the upper and lower shaft parts. This prosthesis type ensures during the immediate post-operative period through its long shaft an adequate primary stability corresponding to current prosthesis variants. During the following weeks after the operation and due to the gradual disintegration of the bio-resorbable material of the intermediate piece, a stageless mechanical uncoupling of the distal shaft part from the proximal shaft part results in a mechanical unloading of the distal shaft part.
