PURPOSE: To enhance flower bud differentiation of a plant, breaking of the dormancy and preserving effects of a rootless arboreal plant with a cryogenic temperature of liquid carbonic acid itself. CONSTITUTION: A plant is placed in a greenhouse 20 comprising heat insulating wall parts 7 and the roof constructed from a chemical film 8 and detachable light screening nets 10 and liquid carbonic acid is then jetted into the greenhouse 20 to keep the interior thereof at the set temperature. The content of oxygen in the greenhouse is extremely reduced with gaseous carbon dioxide or light frost is artificially produced to suppress the respiration of plants. |
