<p>On the bed (1) of the machine is mounted a circular table (2) with a quadrant opening (25) to accept the vertically mounted bandsaw frame (6) which swings together with the table (2) about vertical axis (29) to provide angular adjustment (27) for mitering cuts. The self-contained bandsaw unit has a feed movement (24) towards the work with the blade (9) entering a clearance slot (30) in the table. Fixed to the bed and spanning the table is a two-part bridge piece (16) with a central gap (17) to accept the saw blade (9). The bar to be cut (3) rests on horizontal guides (17',18), and is clamped against the reference face (20) of the bridgepiece. The ine of cut through the gap (17) at the reference face coincides with the axis of swing (29) of the circular table to simplify mitering adjustment.</p> |
