POWDER FOR MAGNETIC SHIELD

PURPOSE: To provide a scaly powder made of a soft magnetic substance applied together with a paint for magnetic shield. CONSTITUTION: A powder for magnetic shield has a mean thickness d of 0.03-0.6μm, a grain size D50 (when the weight percent integrated from the smallest grain size reaches 50% in a grain size distribution obtained by a grain size distribution meter) of 3-60μm and an aspect ratio (D50 /d) of 20-500. It has such a composition containing 15-30atm.% of M (either Al or Si or both), 3-15% of Cr, 0.5-3atm.% of C, Ge plus Sn in a range that 10Ge+Sn >= or = 1atm.% and Ge+Sn <= or = 15atm.%, and the rest of Fe plus inevitable impurities.
