PURPOSE: To automaticaly realize a display state at an appropriate display speed at the time of shading-displaying a solid model graphic in a three- dimensional space. CONSTITUTION: The input means 104 of a computer 200 recognizes input contents from an input device 101 and a solid model preparation means 105 prepares the solid model graphic based on the input contents, performs shading and obtains image information. A display means 106 performs a prescribed processing to the image information, drives a display device 102 and shading- displays the solid model graphic. The computer 200 is further provided with a CPU load recognition means 108 for recognizing the loadαof a CPU 107 and a polygonal approximation degree deciding means 109 for deciding a polygonal approximation degree corresponding to the degree of the CPU loadαand the polygonal approximation degree is automatically set. The solid model preparation means 105 prepares the solid model graphic at the polygonal approximation degree.
