The two pieces (1 and 3) are arranged on a punch and a die (2 and 4), which are temporarily held apart, in order to introduce sufficient pressure to enable them to be hot-formed. The punch and die are then brought together so that the surfaces, precoated with adhesive, lie face to face and touch each other. One essential advantage is that no manual intervention is required.
