<p>PURPOSE: To provide a discharge lamp device of which an arc tube rear end (a part supported by a base) is not broken. CONSTITUTION: An ultraviolet ray shading globe 20 for surrounding and sealing a closed bulb 12 is welded to and integrated with an arc tube 10 provided with the closed bulb 12 wherein electrodes 15a, 15b are so provided as to be faced to each other, the rear end of the arc tube 10 extending from the ultraviolet ray shading globe 20 is supported to an insulting base 20, and the front end of the arc tube 10 is supported by a lead support 32 extending forward from the insulating base 20. In this discharge lamp device, a forward extending part 35 is formed on the front surface of a ceramic disc 33 fixed on the base main body 31 made of synthetic resin is formed, and the stress is prevented from being concentrated on the part supported by the base main body 31 of the arc tube 10. The durability of the arc tube is therefore improved.</p> |
