A resurfacing implant for preventing bone resection, particularly for a metacarpophalangeal, metatarsophalangeal or interphalangeal joint, including two proximal (12) and distal (40) elements respectively implanted at the end of each of the joint bones, and each consisting of an anchoring member (52, 66) and a joint head (39, 64). The heads of the proximal and distal elements have substantially the same thickness and anatomical profile as the sound cartilage, i.e. the undamaged cartilage. |
