PURPOSE: To improve handlability by displaying the position of a leading guide mark with respect to the display position of the current location mark at an interval according to the running speed of a vehicle while the display position and display timing of the leading guide mark are differentiated according to the running condition of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A leading guide point setting section 5 supplies a new current location data supplied to a map image formation part 6 and generates a new leading guide data based on a time setting data to be inputted from an operating section 3 and a vehicle speed data to be inputted from a vehicle speed detecting section 13. A mark image formation part 9 generates the newest current location mark and a leading guide mark based on a new current location data to be inputted from a current location detecting section 2 and a new leading guide data to be inputted from the leading guide point setting section 5 to be supplied to a video RAM10. The display position of the leading guide mark for the display position of the current location mark is set in proportion to the vehicle speed. Moreover, a scheduled time by which a vehicle reaches the display position of the leading guide mark is displayed together. |
