FIELD: internal combustion engines; cooling systems. SUBSTANCE: cooling system thermostat has housing 1 with inlet and outlet connections 2 and 3. Bushing 6 with diametral partition 11 and with at least two rows of holes 12 and 13 is installed in housing. Turnable gate 7 with bypass slots and through slot is installed coaxially relative to bushing 6. Spring split ring 8 is made of memorized shape effect material. One end of ring is connected with turnable gate 7 and the other end is connected with bushing 6 through stud 9. The latter is placed in through slot of spring split ring 8. EFFECT: higher operation reliability. 1 dwg
