The circuit has a scanner(201), a RGB(Red, Green, Blue)/CMY(Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) converter(202), an error computing and color deciding logic parts(205), an error storing memory(207), an color information memory(204) of a neighboring pixel, an error lookup table memory and a printer. The method includes four steps : (1) scanning a picture image and converting a RGB signal to a CMY signal; (2) deciding the output color using the color information and the error value of a neighboring pixel; (3) outputting printing data, storing the corrected color to a memory, and computing the error value found at the error lookup table; (4) recording a computed color information and an error value of a neighboring pixel until the time when there is no pixel to treat.
